UPDATE 5/1/16

Hello,
My name is Courtney and I am one of the managers at Bomba Taco’s & Rum in Rocky River.  I just wanted to let you guys know we pride ourselves in being able to cater to all sorts of allergies!

I was wondering if you could add us to the list of restaurants that have a gluten free menu? We here at Bomba would really appreciate it!!

Bomba Tacos and Rum
recently opened in Rocky River.
Owned by the owners of Paladar, it features more than 25 kinds of tacos, along with numerous other entrees, side dishes, and appetizers.
Do be sure to bring your own tortilla chips for the fabulous guacamoles, since their chips are fried in a mixed-use fryer.

  1. The Beachwood location (and ONLY the Beachwood location) has one dedicated fryer for chips. The server and manager confirmed that chips were gluten free. All other fried items share the other equipment. Chips and salsa on the happy hour menu!

  2. Went for happy hour and the menu has limited gluten free options. I could have none of the snacks and only 2 of the tacos are gluten free. And drinks. I really enjoyed the mushroom and classic chicken tacos.

  3. My second visit at the Beachwood location was less successful. The server who brought out the orders – different from the server who took the orders- mixed the orders up. I did not get the gf tacos I ordered. Took a bit of time to get the manager’s attention and have my order remade. The manager brought a complimentary order of gf cheesey bread. Nice.
NOTE:. The gf tacos are served with 2 corn tortillas. The regular tacos have 1 flour tortilla.
Also, a companion tried one of the bowls made with cauliflower rice and found it very bland.

  4. Now open in Beachwood at La Place at the corner of Richmond and Cedar Roads. Enjoyed Happy Hour tacos. Delish. Wish the chips were GF.

  5. Bomba Tacos just opened in Fairlawn and is excellent and ready to cater to gluten free eaters. It’s also a really pretty restaurant. It’s at the corner of 18 and Cleveland-Massillon.
