Mama Mary’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts

Here’s one of my favorite finds at Marc’s: Mama Mary’s Gluten Free Pizza Crusts

The 2 pack sells for $2.73 and each 7″ crust has 220 calories.  They are certified gluten free.  Marc’s sells them in the aisle with the other pizza making supplies.

They are easy to make.  Just brush the crusts with olive oil, add your favorite toppings and bake  for 5 1/2 to 8 minutes.

I’m a traditionalist and use tomato sauce, mushrooms and whatever cheese I have handy.  The crust is dense and chewy without the usual gluten free crumbs.

But I also bake the crusts and use them as flatbreads for sandwiches.

Mama Mary Sandwich

This tasty sandwich is turkey, lettuce, tomato and mango chutney.

Some of my gluten eating companions ask for these gluten free crusts and like them better than their gluten containing counterparts.

  1. I’ve been buying the crusts at Marc’s all over town for a number of years. My last purchase was at the Marc’s at Parmatown (I mean the Shoppes at Parma!)

  2. I talked to a manager at the Marc’s on Snow and Broadview. He said the pizza crusts aren’t available because they are a test product. That means they aren’t available in the area south of Cleveland but are available probably east and maybe west (?).
If anyone likes these crusts (and I want to try a ready made chewy crust) tell your manager to stock them or write/email Marc’s and tell them this is a good product!!!!
It would be a treat not to have to thaw a ready made crust like Udi’s for a change.

    1. Laurie – I have seen these at Marc’s within the last month; it was either the one at Snow & Broadview or 10 minutes further south on Broadview in Broadview Hts. I shop both stores and don’t remember which one had them. The Marc’s at Snow and Boradview also carries 4G gluten-free breadcrumbs in a can which are phenomenal!
