  1. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the Strip location for Red Robin – our first try and won’t be bck. There was a note on the menu for hamburgers that cross contamination was possible on the grill. We tried to talk to our waiter about it and asked if gluten items were kept separate. She seemed kind of panicky and said she wouldn’t try it. Then ordered a milkshake based on the menu, and read online while waiting that they actually aren’t safe. The rest of the party took an hour to get their food so it was a long sit for the celiac at the table who didn’t eat anything.

    1. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Red Robin as I was the person who wrote the favorable review in 2016. We eat there a couple of times a year and I haven’t had any problem with gluten. They use a dedicated fryer for the and always mark them as gluten-free. They have a gluten-free bun which is clearly marked when served. The thing about the grill is the risk that you take when eating in a restaurant that isn’t completely gluten-free. You always worry that something as simple as the cook could use the wrong spatula that had just touched a regular bun. I’ve also found the wait staff to be very conscious and informed when I tell them that I have celiac. But I guess with how difficult it is to get employees that may not be possible anymore.

  2. I’m a big fan of red robin. The one at the strip is very conscientious about gluten free. They serve gluten free buns, you can ordered gluten free fries (unlimited) and the fruit salad is gluten free. They also serve Angry Orchard Hard Cider and Omission beer. I pass on the last two items since I can stand the taste of the hard cider and have had effects from gluten removed beer.

    1. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Red Robin, Bob! We would like to take this opportunity to invite you
to dine with us the coming Wed. – Jan 11, 2017 at Bomba Tacos, Rocky River, 6:30 pm. The topics we discuss and share
are right in there with your past experiences!

  3. Jean shares:
Red Robin Restaurant hamburgers can be ordered with a gluten free bun. I don’t get the French fries because they are not gluten free. Instead of the French fries you can get unlimited salad. J ust ask for it.
I am gluten intolerant. If I eat anything with gluten in it within 20 minutes I’ve got problems.

  4. our guest Lynn writes:

Red Robin has a large gluten free menu. It uses a dedicated allergy-free fryer for its french fries and offers GF buns. The staff is well educated about allergies. I have been to the ones in Independence and North Olmsted and never had a problem.
