Tate’s Bake Shop Cookies

I wanted to recommend Tate’s Bake Shop Ginger Zinger Cookies. I found them at West Point Market in Akron.  They have a really nice flavor and crisp texture and don’t taste gluten-free at all more like a real bakery cookie . The package weighs 8 oz and is $5.99. They also sell a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie  which I haven’t tried yet.  Their  packages states that the cookies are baked in a gluten-free facility.

Gluten-free beer is available at Jillys Music Room – offering Redbridge, New Planet and Omission (note -Omission is recommended for non-celiac g-f diners only – see our post on Omission)
Traditional beers are available for the friends of g-f diners:)
Specialty cocktails are also available.
Bread products are sourced from Sweet Christine’s G-F Bakery (Philadelphia, PA)
Tortilla chips are housemade.
Cornmeal crusts are used on any encrusted menu items.
No food products contain gluten – No cross contamination issues exist in the preparation of menu items.

They will be in stock and ready to serve on Friday, 2/20/15.

I dine at Trivs 2-3 times a month without incidence.  The staff is great about asking the kitchen any questions I need answered.  They are also great about changing the dishes (sauces, sides) to make it gluten-free.  They just switched the menu for the summer and I’m not as familiar with it yet, but I’m sure there will be a few items that I’ll be able to order with adjustments since they’re amazingly accommodating.

When did you dine?
Mostly weekends, some weeknights.  I would recommend the two Bucci’s (J Bella and Crowne Plaza) because I’ve eaten at both several times without incidence. I dine at J Bellas 2-3 times a month and notice the staff is g-f aware.  They offer gf penne pasta, steaks and salads.

Crowne Plaza staff is not as gf aware but they are very nice about finding out the answers to your questions.  Not sure if they offer gf pasta but they do offer some of the same salads and steaks as J Bella.
