Check out the link above for the full gluten-free menu.  Lots of items to choose from.  Everything made fresh in house – including desserts – of which 4 were available tonight.

Our server, Brit W, was an absolute gem of graciousness and knowledge guiding the table through options, answering questions about ingredients, and explaining the process and concept of Cooper’s Hawk.

Was asked if the g-f request reflected a preference or an allergy.  This question never really bothers me although I know others don’t care to be asked but Brit informed us that an allergy request on an order to the kitchen requires 3 signatures from the floor staff.  They take this very seriously and I appreciate that they do.

I started with the Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad – one of the best salads I’ve had dining out – ever!  Followed the salad with the Short Rib Risotto – also wonderful – both portions – way more than enough for a single diner.

No desserts were had tonight but next time I will most definitely order with dessert in the plan to finish.  I hear that Salted Caramel Creme Brulee calling my name.

  1. Had dinner there recently. The burger was terrific with a sturdy and tasty gluten free bun. No fries. It was served with fruit.

  2. Enjoyed a recent dinner. I’d forgotten they offer gluten free bread which was a treat. We sat in a booth in the bar which is quieter than the larger room of the restaurant.

  3. Enjoyed Chicken Madeira from the extensive gluten free menu. The server was not very attentive but I appreciate her announcing my entree as gluten free when she set it before me. I’d eat here again. Be sure to make a reservation as most tables were occupied on a weekday night.

  4. Had our monthly cousins lunch there in December. Agree with noise. Extremely loud. Nice GF menu and my burger was quite good. Everyone else had salads. Agree service needs a lot of improvement. One cousin ordered the brussel sprout salad and she was served a totally different salad with the explanation that they were out of brussel sprouts. (Run across the street to Whole Foods and buy some brussel sprouts, just sayin). Whatever happened to coming out to offer the customer a chance to order something else? Didn’t happen. Quite strange. Another cousin ordered a chicken salad and was served a salad without any chicken. When she questioned the server he said there are two salads one with chicken and one without. We all heard her order the chicken. Instead of offering to get her chicken he just left the table. When this was brought to the manager’s attention she took $3 off the bill for the missing chicken. After more discussion and education for the manager about customer service and the brussel sprout issue she begrudgingly comped the chicken salad meal. She was less than gracious and accommodating and copped an attitude. We informed her that it was unlikely the 6 of us would return or recommend this restaurant. So, food was okay and hopefully they will get their act together and might try to return with improved reviews.

  5. Friends were there when first opened. One fish entre had to be sent back. Got burger instead. Very good. Service not good. Seemed like a work in progress. Very noisy on a Tues. nite. Will need more time to improve, which is the case for many new restaurants. Nice GF menu.
